Chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients

  • 8.8 ounces of MASECA Antojitos corn masa flour 
  • 4.4 ounces of unsalted butter 
  • 1 teaspoon of salt 
  • 3.5 ounces of sugar 
  • ½ cup of chocolate chips 
  • 3 eggs 
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder 
  • 1.4 ounces of pecans, chopped 
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch 
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence 

Preparation

  1. Beat the sugar with the butter until fluffy, approximately 3 minutes. 
  2. Add the eggs one at a time, integrating them well along with the vanilla essence. 
  3. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients until you achieve a uniform dough. 
  4. Finally, with the help of a spatula, fold in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts. 
  5. Use an ice cream scoop to form dough balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. 
  6. Flatten the balls slightly with your hands, which should be a bit damp to prevent the dough from sticking. 
  7. Bake at 360°F for 12 minutes.
